This makes me mad.

"Although it examines culpability and responsibility in service of truth and reconciliation, this film fails to address the structures of power, and arguably perpetuates the very atrocities that it sets out to condemn."

A lot of disturbing images in this book that feel inappropriate on the eve of elections. So I’ll only upload this one.
A demonstration in Rome against Israel’s invasion.

“Dedication: To those who realize the value of learning from history”
Stranger still was learning that this book was sold to my mother by the Lebanese Forces… It seems that even back then, the LF (portrayed by Folman as the sole culprits in Sabra & Shatila) were disputing Israel’s official position.

“Lebanon 1982: Journal of Israel’s Invasion, Documents & Pictures.”
Supplement this to your memory, Ari Folman.
After telling my parents about what I thought of Waltz With Bashir (which is banned in Lebanon), my mother showed me this book she bought in ‘83. Strange to flip through it the day before the Parliamentary elections…

Zionist Dialectics

re: @syria’s RT of @Elizrael:

The longer U demand sthg we won’t give(refugees’right of return),the longer Pals misery remain

“The dialectics of Zoinism is this: as years pass, Zionist crimes ensure that every Arab generation has its supply of materials to continue and persevere in fierce opposition to Zionism. Zionist crimes guarantee the deep Arab opposition to Zionism, and they seal the fate of Zionism.” (AngryArab)

"wen el ‘Arab wen?? sawwer sawwer sawwer…"

— grieving mother featured in final scene of Waltz With Bashir after Sabra & Shatila massacre. Translation: “Where are the Arabs, where?? Film this, film this, film this…”

Finally watched Waltz With Bashir. Interesting look at Israel’s infantile army + their comatose morality. Nice graphics but overly-concerned with the director’s quest for memory, forgetting the real point of introspection. It’s ending is where the story really begins…
